what causes feet to burn get red and swell?
Neuropathy such as that caused by diabetes, or heavy metal poisoning can cause feet to burn. Poor venous return due to prolonged standing, aging leg veins or defective vein valves can cause feet to get red and swell. This condition is called peripheral edema. Graduated compression socks or stockings can help restore venous return and reduce the swelling.
I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.
I have diabetes and what you are describing sound like neuropathy. This is something that needs to be taken care as soon as possible, because if it is not serious complications can develop. To be on the safe side see your doctor ASAP.
