Are women voters more likely to vote for female ...

Based on research that considered gender preference, the desire for gender-specific representation on certain political issues, and the political party affiliation of both the candidate and the voter, there is no overwhelming or consistent gender gap supporting female candidates. The most important factor is information about the candidate herself, and her position on significant issues.

I for one will not vote for a woman because she's the same sex as me.  I will vote for someone who I think is more qualified to perform the job of a President.  I won't be able to speak for the other women, but I hope they will vote for someone who will be good for the country.
