Now, this is an interesting question!
Ron Paul, in my opinion, embodies economic pragmatism, a value that offers more for individual opportunity and success than others. In addition, his values carry over to elements of social problems that need to be addressed, with free market solutions.
Unfortunately, he is not a "phrase catcher" nor charismatic, nor does he have the support of any main-stream media, which in many cases control, or at least direct, how audiences evaluate, and value, a candidate.
That said, we could do worse that Ron Paul in terms of a capitalist democracy. Looking forward to 2012 perhaps Ron Paul or a similar, more media darling capitalist democracy candidate will present him or her self.
