What if a police officer lets a complete stranger listen to your name birthday and SS # even after you ask who that person was, is it wrong? Can the charges be dropped against you?
Children are God's gift to the world...
Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do. The police officer's lack of better judgment won't get you out of whatever it is he/she was writing you up for.
Your direction, not your intention, determines your destination
Was the stranger a stranger to you, or to both the policeman and you? If the stranger was a party to what you did or didn't do to get charges brought against you, they might be intitled to your name and address but I doubt they would be able to remember anything other than your name.If the stranger was with the policeman, he could also have been a policeman in training, or ride along.I doubt you would have any grounds to have the charges dismissed since you are not disputing that. Getting you Social Security number was a way of making sure you hadn't committed a big crime like a ax murderer.Sorry about the ticket.
