Do police cars harm the environment?

It used to be that police cars were chosen because they didn't use too much oil, but that was in the old days, when people were concerned about that.

Shouldn't police cars today be greener?  The police is supposed to serve and protect. Doesn't that include the environment?

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

I am not sure that police cars is the main issue..... I don't know how many cars are in Michigen but it won't be more than 0.1% of all cars, and sure police cars are not the most polluting..... I bet that buses and trucks pollute much more... Still that does't mean we shouldn't care: Sure we have to demand that all cars, and specifically police cars, will protect the environment.
Best regards,
