How do I play a minor pentatonic guitar lead during chord changes, should I change the scale to fit the current chord or stick in one scale while the chords change?

if it is basic rock/blues, in most cases, stick to the one scale. jazz calls for "following chord changes" and is much deeper than just pentatonic scales.

sometimes your rock tunes will changes keys, e.g. "you really got me"

sometimes it will go out for just a chord or two also. many variables.
