Are there more plastic bottles of Coke or people in the world?

I am surprised no one answered this question.  We have to make 4 assuptions in order to get to a reasonable answer. 
1.  Only about 25% of the people of the world can
    affort buying soft drinks (Yes ! - it's a fair 
    assumption).  
2.  From those only about half prefer Coke on other
    brands. That means around 12%.
3.  Coka Cola is an effecient producer.  That means 
    they'll not produce more bottles than they need. 
    And they need no more than 5 bottles for each
    potential customer.  That means 60% of all
    world's population.
$.  90% of all used bottles are destroyed.  That leaves 
     10% of all bottles in the cycle, or 6% to the total.
All in all there are more people in the workd than Coke bottles.  According to my guess only some 66% of......

Have more coke bottles been produced tyan there are NOW people in the world?

Well, 40% percent of the population drinks soft drinks and,28% percent of that drink coke. Now, if every person who drinks cocacola drank cocacola on average amount, {which is 4 a week on average} than that would be 16 bottles a month per person, but 20% of just cocacola bottles alone are recycled. With average bottle count  that would equal at least 1 million bottles in the normal city neihberhood in half a year. of course I'm just estimating. 

I honestly think there are less plastic bottles of people :P
