I remember this case as I am from Virginia and it was in all the local papers but I never heard what came of it, so it did some research.
I jumped into the Brooklyn Federal Court record system and I have the docket entry for the case with all those details, but there is no word anywhere else on the judge and her rulings, the case and it's ruling, etc. So, in my opinion, the case has either been settled out of court or it is pending trial due to some delay by the plaintiff. It seems that company, Air Fleet Training Systems, is still in business - which would lead me to believe that they were not sued for $45 million. They are a small, local company. Their website is still in service...
