People keep telling me that all someone has to do is hide their assets. I don't understand why I am spending my money and time if he can just lie. My x is very wealthy, with businesses and property. He gave me a brain injury and I can never work again. Is there anything I can do to protect myself? Can I file a lien before he starts to protect his assets from the harm he caused me? Is this really how the law works? Why does anyone bother to sue?
