Very simple, the force of gravity on the object is always going to be Fg=(Gm1m2)/r^2
in both cases, r will be the same, and m1 will be the same, and g will be teh same, but m2 weill be bigger for the earth case (earth is heavier) So the forfce will be greater in that direction and the object willb e pulled towards teh earth
