How do I make a photo slideshow for AppleTV to play on TV? I am using Windows Vista PC.

I don't have an Apple TV but I'm 99% sure that all you have to do is copy the pictures to the Apple TV and it shows them as a slideshow with it's built in software.

My recommendation would be for you to compile your photos on the PC to a .mp4 or .mpg movie that can then be imported onto the AppleTV just like any other movie in iTunes.

 The rule of thumb should be, if it plays in iTunes, it will play on AppleTV. Use Quicktime Pro, or whatever video editing tool you may be using to create your movie, make sure its in the right format and AppleTV should be able to play it!

I suggest two options:

1. If you are familiar with Windows Movie Maker, which usually comes with Windows Vista (C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe), you can use it to make photo slideshow and burn saved WMV video with your favorite dvd burning software, say Nero, Roxio.

2. Choose one photo slideshow software to make slideshow and directly burn slideshow DVD for TV playback. I once use Wondershare Movie Story to make my travel slideshow DVD, and the result is excellent. I share my beautiful travel photos with my family.
