A:I have never taken my dogs on a boat, but I did take 2 of them on a 11-hour flight once across continents. I had a vet prescribe some medication to help them relax and they rested in a bag on the seat next to me for the entire flight. They whined for the first hour but when I secretly took them out of the bag and held them in my lap under a big blanket, they were fine.
