If not caged, make sure the birds wings are clipped.

Bird cages would a great solution if you want to take your pet bird outside, but before anything else, check your bird's reaction before making the transition to out of doors.

We have leashed harnesses made for birds that we bought at a pet store. They work great.  Do keep their wings clipped.  Our birds were hand raised and very young when we socialized them.

i have a bird myself. so if the bird lacks sunlight,  put it behind one of those mesh screens, or take it outside in an open bird cage.
