For these sizes you must buy some sort of a SUV, one of my friends has two mastin Napolitano males, and he drives a hammer jeep. But I really do not think you need to exaggerate, my guess is that any SUV will do.

I think this totally depends on your price range, where you'll be driving and what you'd like to do with the car.  Vans are very useful, tend to guzzle less feul while remaining roomy.  My family has had three dogs in our van and they were always comfortable.  You can take out seats either in the middle of the van, back, or both, in order to create an even nicer place for your dogs.  I think you also get more for your money when buying a van, as opposed to an SUV.

SUV's are pretty in style, though.  There are many new SUV's that are nice and medium sized, even a couple that are hybrids (if you are concerned about gas prices)... Toyota just came out with a new hybrid SUV.  Like I said before though, if you're not planning on off-roading, aren't too concered about being practical rather than following trends, and want something very nice for the dogs, I'd reccommend a van... either a Dodge/Chrystler or a Honda.  They are great vehicles.

A Volvo SUV as it is large enough for two large dogs to have space in the back area.  It can be blocked or left open.  I have four dogs and it's great.  It is also easy to clean!

How about Renault Kangoo, great trunk for the dogs you can place some pillows over there and make it a portable home.

The reason I bought our 2003 Toyota 4 Runner was the electric operated sliding down rear window. Few mfg's offer this type of rear window and I consider it essential in dog hauling. The window can be cracked at any opening position to allow ventilation to the rear of the SUV. The vehicle is also silver and our truck is white with a rear topper and side screens which keep interior temps much lower than dark colors. I am looking for a new econimical (low fuel consumption) SUV with a sliding rear window. If any knows of such a vehicle please advise!  Thanks, John

Consider a Honda Element. It has rear circulation for heat and air conditioning. It also has rear seats that fold up to the side if you want to allow more room.  Check on out.  Good Luck
