What is a swing vote state?
It means that if Obama or McCain win that state, they will most likely win the election. Usually, the swing states are Florida and Ohio. Whoever wins those states wins the elections... that's generally what it comes down to.

The swing states are those that may go either GOP or DEM. Ohio and Florida to name a couple.
The media has decided which states will vote which way - if you're not in a "swing state" then the media considers you irrelevant.
