I have alot of asthma issues and have to tank my ...

I have alot of asthma  issues and have to tank my 75 gal freshwater tank down , in order to rip up old carpet and put down some new flooring! My question is what can i place in my tank that would help as far as the alagae issues , I was thinking a UV filter or UV light ! any other suggestions ?
