How accurate is PET scan at diagnosing breast cancer?
Life as if it were your last day to live, because you never know, it just could be. It's okay to hug, laugh, cry, and to say you are sorry.
A PET scan is used to monitor how our body is working metabolically, such as how it utilizes oxygen, glucose, things that keep us running so to speak. One of it's most common uses is, at least what I see it used most commonly for, is in the diagnosis of cancer. Although, technically nothing is 100% next to a biopsy, the results of a PET scan would be hard to argue.
And how are you feeling today?
I have to agree with Sunshynrn in that a biopsy of the breast is the only definitive test to find out if you have breast cancer.
