Life as if it were your last day to live, because you never know, it just could be.  It's okay to hug, laugh, cry, and to say you are sorry.

A PET scan is used to monitor how our body is working metabolically, such as how it utilizes oxygen, glucose, things that keep us running so to speak.  One of it's most common uses is, at least what I see it used most commonly for, is in the diagnosis of cancer.  Although, technically nothing is 100% next to a biopsy, the results of a PET scan would be hard to argue.

I have to agree with Sunshynrn in that a biopsy of the breast is the only definitive test to find out if you have breast cancer.

Your direction,not your intention,determines your destination

The best thing is for them to remove a small portion of the growth if you have one and do biopsy on it. If you don't have cancer it will show that and then no harm is done except for a small scar.
