my 6 year old lab has blood discharge from the penis and it is not due to injury, does anyone know what could be causing this?

Hi,


The most common reason is stones in the kidneys.  There are several other possible reasons as well (less likely).  Don't neglect it, go to the vet and check it.  The real cause has to be identified.

It could be kidneys, and it could be another internal injury.

Blood coming out of anywhere is uncommon and is a sure sign for the vet.

This is not something that could be solved on the internet, consult a vet as soon as possible. The dog might be in pain.

That could be a bad urinary tract infection.  Get to your vet as soon as possible!

1 reason may be that your dog, may have Kidney Stones, however there are many things that could be causing this. The best and safest thing to do, is to have a vet check him out, to find out for sure.
