when dogs bite owners. I have a Peckineese/ShitZu Mix. He loves me to death. Has seperation anxiety. Goes to work with me every day. BUUT, when he doesn't want to be touched for some reason. He will snap at me. Today he was licking his paw constantly and when I went to touch it to see what was wrong he growled and bit me and broke the skin on my finger. I was devastated. I wouldn't let him near me for several hours. Reprimanded him, but I did cry to think he would do it to me. What should I do if anything. I know they say after a short time dogs won't know what they are being punished for so I let it go.
My best advise is to watch the shoe It's me or the Dog. Victoria Stillwell has been a dog trainer 10 yrs now and is wonderful. But honestly she see's this all the time. The dog is just that a DOG not a child and when you treat them like a spoiled child, that is what they turn into.
