How to find a perticular port usage details? Does it get logged some where in the system from where I can retrieve the details?

Using NETSTAT command I can find out the ip addresses that are using the port number XXXX of my system at that perticular time. But if I want to know all the ip addresses that used the port number XXXX today, how is it possible? Is there any command to find out or is there any location in the system where all these details gets logged? Without using any tools, is it possible to get this information?

Please let me know if I need to provide any more details or in case more clarity in my question is required.

Thanks in advance.
