Yes, it definitely could hurt your spouse's good credit. It depends on how you combine your finances, or future loan applications, credit card applications, etc. Check out this site: www.mamashealth.com/relationships/spousecredit
Yes, you should take steps to improve your credit now.
Have you considered using one of those authorized user tradeline programs. They are very affordable and would get you well on your way to having better credit. My mom used it and not only was able to open other accounts, but her score jumped 51 points. Check out the free evaluation form at www.totaldebtsolutionsllc.com They can help pick out a suitable credit repair program as well. Good luck.

Not until you apply for a loan together. If you keep seperate accounts and seperate credit and loans you will be ok.But if you buy a house together they will use your credit score to base the rate on. You should keep things seperate and bring your score up. My husband and I are in the same situation.
Woman is woman and she does not need man for nothing more than love. Her credit is hers and your credit is yours . There is 2 powers there. Don't share your credit.Stay strong. Using authorized tradelines and paying for them is Illegal. 99% of these trade lines come from Identity theft. Every thing will go great until some one discovers there credit is being used. Then look who is holding the bag. Good credit is not given--it is earned. You will go to jail when the credit bureau finds out the credit you are using is not yours.
