Have you ever wondered how herbal shampoos are made? Read on to make your own! This traditional Indian recipe reduces hair fall, removes lice, acts as an anti-dandruff shampoo, conditions your hair and helps grow your hair long and strong.

Steps

  1. Gather all the herbs you need. The supplies are listed below in the Things you'll need section.
  2. Break the dried soap nuts open and remove the seeds inside them.
  3. Throw the seeds away.
  4. Put all the herbs except lemon in a saucepan.
  5. Add about 3 cups of water.
  6. Boil for 15 minutes.
  7. Let the concoction cool.
  8. Now, mash the pulp to get juice.
  9. Strain the juice and throw away the pulp. Collect the shampoo in a container.
    • You'll get concentrated herbal shampoo.
  10. Add half cup of water if needed.
  11. Finally, squeeze a fresh lemon into this shampoo for a refreshing citrus scent.

Tips

  • Add more soap nuts if your hair is greasy or if you have thick hair.
