What personal Apology?

Napolitano DID NOT APOLOGISE FOR HER STATEMENTS concerning the report she apologized for the report!  Why didn’t she apologize and why did the Legion accept her fake apology?

She should have said:  The report is EXACTLY wrong and I apologize for my support and any statements I may have made concerning this hate filled report that has absolutely no merit.  The fact that the report was published by Home Land Security was MY FAULT and I was wrong and my support was wrong!

Note: I am a member of the Legion only because a friend of mine who I respect was looking for members asked me to join.  Based on his friendship I joined.  The reason I have problems with the Legion include:  As a B-47 navigator stationed at Lincoln Nebraska from 1962-65  I was not considered "qualified or worthy" to be a member.  During that period flying SAC mission we lost some 19 crewmembers flying missions in support of the response required for the cold war. 

As I joined the Legion in later years I noted on line that the Legion polled its membership concerning the Iraq war and 65% of the members wanted to pull out, a.k.a. cut and run!  This is not a group I am proud to be a member of. 

In our local organization I was asked to help welcome home some returning troops and as I talked to the leader of the local Legion post during the reception I was told, in summary, that all officers were scum.  This from a guy who had been drafted for two years.  Now we forgive Napolitano when her apology is based on a document that was published by Home Land Security for which she is entirely responsible!  And only a political apology and not a personal apology.
