Hypnosis is an induced state of trance, or altered state of awareness.  It seems to be something between sleep and wakefulness. It seems like being in an altered state (being on drugs) would allow you to fall into the trance more deeply or you would just be on a higher alert and it wouldn't work at all. I can see it going both ways.

Surrender.  Surrender.  But don't give yourself away . . . .

If you get hypnotized into believing you are a chicken, you will be a stoned chicken.

How can you know if something is coming from darkness or from light? Look if there is love. Love is light, is kind, is acceptance, tolerance, forgiveness...Love it is not self seeking.  Read 1 Corinthians 13

I have been hypnotized and use self hypnosis almost daily, but I do not smoke marihuana. If you are asking is because you had an experience that was scary to you or to a friend. Many indians used marihuana or other herbs to experience hallucinations, so  maybe is easier to see hallucinations when stone and hypnotized. Contrary to what many say, marihuana can be harmful, but less rapidly and less agressively than other drugs. It can trigger psychosis in some individuals, and have an effect in your  motivation and in your short term memory. People who smoke frequently, especially young, do not feel like going to work, or to study, and do not even realize that is the marihuana post effect. There are lots of research done by psychologists.
