The percentage of survivors in ICU in USA is said to be ~30%
Are these claims true? And is this the normal number in general in the developed countries or is it abnormally high due to the lack of mandatory state health insurance?
I don't know the statistics, but 30% wouldn't surprise me. You must realize that a patient wouldn't be in the ICU at all if they weren't already in danger of dying.
