Screw 'em if they can't take a joke

I have seen many times lately that parents do not need to cover their children with life insurance.  I worked with an insurance agent when I was in high school and so took a policy out on myself when I was 18 with a payment less than $20.00 per mo. and was paid up several years ago. However, when I was pregnant with my first child, I was going to wait until she was much older to take out a policy as I had done for myself.  Unfortunately, she became uninsurable when she got sick and there was no hope that she would be symptom free for the six months that were required for coverage. This happened when she was less than two years old.  It would have been helpful to have insurance (that is what it is for) to cover medical bills and funeral costs, which were in the thousands each.  When my second child was born, she was covered within a couple of months, if for no other reason than to have a policy that can be passed to her at a very low premium when she reaches 18 and may or may not be insurable.  I know you do not want to plan for something bad to happen that would require it, but neither does the 30, 40, 50...year old plan for anything to happen to them.  The current policy has a premium around ten dollars a month for a whole life policy due to the child's age when signed.  Very affordable for a young person even when starting out in life. Just insurance for her future when she is an adult.  Take care.

Be Blessed.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

DaveS,

Death does not have an age limit. So often we think about kids getting ill and passing on, but there are other things to consider such as hit and runs, accidental shootings, drownings, ect.....

In the world that we live in today, everyone needs to be insured, from the womb to the tomb.

Be blessed

Imagine if something were to happen to your child......as a mother I know... Now take that aweful feeling and combine it with the emptyness you feel when they are gone and you don't have a penny to bury them. Now you have twice the hurt . Thats pretty harsh but true...It's so simple and affordable to cover a child. Your talking less than 20 bucks a month...we blow more than that on soda these days..arent they worth it...I am an agent, I see it daily, and I am thanked daily for what I do by those mothers whom I told this harsh truth to and was able to be there for them and make sure all was tended to. contact me if you have any more questions daniisurs@aol.com
