People are hard on others because of their own insecurities or they love you and do not want to see you fail.

Tom's Tutorial to Writing Fanfiction, Part 4

-READ DESCRIPTION FIRST, PLEASE- First, I apologize for any background noises or blurs. It's my software, I've learned to stop fighting it. Second, as stated in the video, this guide does not apply to everyone. Some can get by without the points and topics that I will talk about in these next few videos. Some may even excel with just a first draft, who knows? I've read a lot of fanfiction that has the potential but lacks the direction, and as cruel and ruthless as it sounds (feel free to call me a jerk or worse), there are many fanfiction out there that are eyesores to read. I've found these steps to be very helpful when writing, and I just hope that you just take the time to listen to what I have to say. I'm only trying to help people reach their potentials as writers, either professionally or just in the fanfiction universe. And third, yes, I'm aware that I'm a nerd. I admit it.
