Biologically their bodies stop regenerating themselves, and then we die.

Philosophically we could go on forever (or until we died) about how this is nature's way of making sure the Earth will be able to hold humanity, a sort of balancing mechanism meant to maintain the eco system. I know it seems not to be working so well in some places, but it's a theory.

I think people die once they finished their role in this world , the body is just a place we park for a couple of years and then move on.

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,

Unfortunately at a certain age we (human beings) start to undergo a process of ageing.  This process is now studied intensively at many centers around the world and I believe that very soon (a matter of few years) scientists will come with very intersting insights and conclusions (better understanding).  It is accepted today that there are 2 main reasons why we die:  Loss of genes and ....... and yes desease (the older we are our immune system deteriorates, functions less effectively).  Here is a nice article.
Best regards,

I'll search, while you Cool wait.

I agree with Oron that people die to to a decreased amount of genes and diseases, as well as accidental deaths, suicides and homocides.
