I have been separated for almost 20 yrs don't know ...

i have been separated for almost 20 yrs don't know where my ex is or lives does he have to sign the divorce papers if i file a default divorce ,and we have no property , and how long will it take for my divorce to be final since it been that long we were separated..

When the world can't provide you children, you can always buy a dog.

Just post a notice in the news paper for 6 weeks stating your intentions to divorce and at the end of that period, you can file a no- contest divorce with out personal notification.  Call the paper to find out more.

Susan I have read your concern. I too have been seperated 11 years, live in the state Of NEw Jersy. No contact with x for over 6 years. He lives in state of Delaware and of course no contact wit his daughters 22and 18 yrs old. I too ave concerns about filing divorce and want to know if it can be down thru my county with out his consent. Hav concerns maybe u can help me  TKS Nancy

it said in pennsylvania that after two yrs separation you can file a no fault divorce..go to your local court house and they should have divorce kit for you to file .. i am doing my own divorce, which cost less, but i have no children , or property to settle... but i would go to a lawyer and just talk to them and ask about a no fault divorce... good luck and will keep in touch about mine.. i have until the 30th for him to comply,, after i filed the papers with the court i also had to send him the divorce complaint and affidavit certified mail, and i have to wait 20 days,,, if nothing from him the court will go ahead and do the divorce decree.. i hope this helps you ...  good luck nancy,  keep in touch ... susan
