My lease expired May of '08, however they also failed to send me a renewal form to sign at that time. I did however receive a notice of renewal in February about the rate increase and that my lease was going to expire. I pay an extra amount to lease a washer and dryer $40. I finally purchased my own washer and dryer near the end of July and had them swap them out. Now mind you I've been paying the normal amount during this time. 2 days after I finally receive my renewal notice for the new rate with the $40 removed. Last week (08/18/2008) I received a notice stating that I still owe $140 because of "underpayment of several months". I spoke with them about this and that ended up being a calculation error, they didn't know when I had swapped my W/D out and it ended up being around $80 instead. Should I pay this even though they never had me sign a new renewal until 3 months after?
