How to pay for college

I want to go to college to earn a degree but I cannot afford it. I have thought about joining the army but I don't want to go to war. What can I do? I don't want to take Federal loans and be paying them off for the rest of my life. Is there another way?

RE: How to pay for college

You could always try a personal/student loan. There are several financial agencies who provide this type of loan where you can start to gradual pay after you graduate.

You also have an option of student credit cards There are cards whose payment schemes are suited for college students.

Goodluck and hope this helps!

RE: How to pay for college

Did you try any organizations that hand out scholarships? A lot of universities offer lots of them for free. Try browsing around the university you want to study in and see what scholarships you can receive.

Here are a couple of sites that will get you going:

If you are into sports you can check:

RE: How to pay for college

Hi,

Getting a scholarship as gabriwa suggested is probably the best way but if that doesn't work out I would think again about a loan. I know starting life in debt isn't the greatest thing but today student loans are very reasonable and you can pay it back in a few years. You can get a lot of the information regarding student loans at the universities themselves.

This may be the solution you're looking for.

Good luck.

RE: How to pay for college

Hi,

I think the College Board site is a great place to start from. They have great ideas and suggestions on how to finance your studies.

If your looking for a more off beat way of paying for college, this is the site for you.

Here's yet another good resource.

Good luck with finding yourself funding.
