Hello...As a U.S. citizen I did not need to show my passport each time I flew to Hawaii. To fly between any 2 U.S states a passport is not necassary. If your US issued driver's license is valid and current I don't see why you'd have a problem. Flying from New York to Hawaii (for example) is no different than flying from New York to New Jersey. A states a state. Is that what you asked? ;D

I have experience flying to Hawaii from NY as a U.S. citizen, not as a foreign national. I don't know if there's a difference. Maybe someone else could elaborate..now I'm curious.

3 thumbs up

you can travel with your drivers license  but if you have trouble traveling by airplane with the watch list a passport is the best of all identification
