How to participate in a Poker tournament?

I suspect that the rules for this will vary from tournament to tournament.  Best course of action is likely to be locating a tournament and just asking them what their rules are governing admission.

Do you know how to play poker?  OR maybe I should ask, how well do you know how to play?  Depending on your area, there are different levels of tournaments.  I have never heard of any kind of Proof needed to get in.

Online or off line tournament provides their own guide on how and what are needed to participate and it is publicly available, ask the tournament coordinator if you can't locate the guide.

Is it on-line? or land-base? To participate in a tournament (amateur or professional) you should know first the rules and how to play the game.

Step 1

Choose the casino in Las Vegas in which you are going to play. Pretty much all casinos with a poker room will offer tournaments of any shape, size and buy-in.

Sit down at the money tables if you can not find a floor manager or there are not any scheduled tournaments available. Here you can talk to other players and get a lot of information. Many times they will be able to tell you who to talk to. The dealer may help as well.
