I have a pair of colt derringers in case, with consecutive serial No's made 1959 to 1963, I was wondering what these are worth, the No's are 24504D, 24505D
I have purchased sets of these at auction for between $350 and $450 but i have also seen others pay up to $750. They must be in unfired ex. Shape to get higher prices. I bought a set that had some flaws for $250. If you sell them at auction you must send them to a gun dealer (ffl) and they charge the new owner $15- $25 per gun to register them. You would be better off to sell them in your local paper as owner to owner then you just need to see his drivers lic. To prove he is 21. They are a neat set and you can get "lord" models( with wood grips) and "lady" models (with white ivory grips).
If your looking to sell them you could get the right price if your lucky, yor looking at any where from $750 to $1,100,if you say and are right about them you have some keepers! The older they get the price goes up. If I was you I would Hang on to them, like money in the bank.
