My uro only gave me enough pain meds for one week ...

My uro only gave me enough pain meds for one week and sent me to a pain clinic. The thing is, I can't get in for five weeks. My doc doesn't feel comfortable giving them to me. What do I do? Should I tell my uro about it, go to my family doctor or beg the clinic to get me in faster? I have chronic pain from Interstitial Cystitis.I need to get back to my job, I'm out from pain.
