How do owed arrears affect lowered (new) child support ?

noncustodial parent is in contempt of court for arrears and has been ordered to start paying on the original ordered amount plus $20 for arrears. Now he wants that ordered child support amount lowered - how will that affect the amount I'm supposed to receive? (Original amount ordered is $430 - changed to $ 225). Thank you!

I'm not sure. Try asking your attorney or consulting one to find out. Good luck!
