I was always under the impression that heroin was the big killer when it comes to ODing.

The National center for Health Statistics consider death by OD as a death due to accidental poisoning, so there are no statistics even on how many people die each year from OD.

Although cocaine is high on the list it's heroin that causes the most deaths
