I have a 1993 Toyota Hilux Surf turbo diesel. What newer model engine could I buy that will fit in the hood?

Just let it go, theres no sense fighting for it.

Why what is wrong with your current engine? It depends on what scale you are trying to change here. the whole engine or parts of the engine? If you are looking to change the whole engine, any engine from Hilux and Grandia or hi ace manufactured from 1993 to 2007 can fit in your hood. I suggest that you

sell cars and buy a new model of the Hilux. You won't regret it. there are also other options that comes with diesel and you can convert them to be able to run on other alternatives such as water and used oil from restaurants, or just choose hybrids..
