Can you please online diagnose my friends psychological problem? i'm scared of what she is gonna do to herself or others!!!

i have a female friend (who's name i cannot enclose due to confidentiality). i have noticed many changes in her personality and have asked her about it. she has told me about many things that she has noticed have changed in her psychological state. i asked her to write down all of her symptoms and i find many of them quite worrying: - uncontrollable mood swings - uncontrollable anger; no reason but feeling it - depression without reason; crying fits, suicidal thoughts - constant craving for human skin - tearing apart hands, head, ankles purposely - social withdrawal; not wanting to speak to people - lack of interest; not wanting to do anything - constant nauseous feelings - detachment - body dysmorphic; having the physical urge to cut of body parts like fat, constantly disgusted with body - making myself believe things that aren't there - belief that i am cold blooded - not feeling sympathy or sadness for others properly or excitement - constantly washing hands; only happy whilst bathing; everthing is unclean, including the air - wanting to bite everything; oral fixation - feelings of worthlessness; feeling like i should be sorry for everything i do - disgust in myself for eating - inability to enter dark rooms; fear of being killed / attacked by spirits - constant fantasy of having my face slashed open - feelings of self destruction; wanting to destroy my body; self mutilation - frequent anxiety / panic attacks;feelings that i'll hurt someone - laughing fits followed by extreme depression - talking to people i create in my mind; even though i know they are not real; they just offer comfort - seeing certain people and having a physical wanting to eat them - avoidance / nervous / panicking when strangers walk past me, getting into nervous feeling after others speak to me - my memory is deteriorating ; i can't remember stuff that has just happened most of the time - the feeling of wanting to cut off my fingers. My friend is only sixteen years of age and i think her suffering all these symptoms without any support or medical help is painful. i see her everyday and feel sorry for her. all of our friends - also her friends which are also my friends - have noticed these rapidly developing changes. we are highly alarmed and worried that she may have bipolar, depression or schizophrenia. :( please diagnose her and send me the feed back of how i can help her and how i get her to see a doctor - she is terrified of what they will say :( please please help - my email address is- s.l.pashley@hotmail.com and sezzie93@yahoo.com please contact me

Look here, I was a psychologist and I would never diagnose someone on line aside from perhaps giving a general idea of what to look for when she sees a doctor. She NEEDS to see a doctor. Seriously. There are way too many symptoms there to be any kind of simple diagnosis. Something has gone terribly wrong with her mental state, and the doctor needs to find the source of the problem. There are symptoms of several different illnesses there and I frankly would never even try to diagnose her on line. Without talking to her, seeing her affect and behavior, there's just too much of a chance of getting it wrong and making the problem worse. About all you can do for her is encourage her to see a doctor and support her and be a friend who cares for her.

United We Stand, Divided We Fall

This teen needs to see a psychiatrist ASAP. You should talk encourage her to talk with her parents and teachers. Has she ever actually tried to hurt herself? Is she deteriorating to the point she cannot function?   Is she living on the streets? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then a person can legally fill out a form asking the police to take her to a hospital even against her will and a psychiatric exam will be done to determine if she needs hospitalization - involuntarily if she won't consent. This is called a petition for involuntary commitment. You can ask the police or the clerk of a court for this form and who to give it to.

A person cannot be diagnosed without a comprehensive in person exam. What someone says they say is not enough. A psychologist or psychiatrist will need to look at their body language, their affect and emotions, the way they talk and what they talk about, as well as their reliability (being honest about what they say). The examiner will need to talk to their family, friends, and physician to see what others see and hear and how the person has changed.

Ask her if she is willing to see a psychiatrist and then find out where the public mental health clinics are in your area. As she is a minor, she will have to seek her parent's assistance and permission for care. The parents must be informed. If the parents have health insurance, then they will need to go to one of the providers in their network.  If there is no health insurance, she needs to go to a public health clinic.  She can always go to the emergency room of a local hospital and ask for a mental health evaluation and assistance. Tell your concerns to the social worker at her school or a teacher.  I presume you are also a teen. This is NOT something that a teen is able to handle on their own, either as the patient or as a friend of hers.

Follow the advice of bonestructure.  Your friend sounds very sick to me, but asking for something as serious as a diagnosis on a site such as Yedda is not possible.  Try to get your friend to see a doctor soon.

I totally agree with the above suggested solutions. She needs a good psychatrist. Also try Your best to be as much supportive to her as possible. Also insist upon the same to all her family members, teachers and dear ones who stay in regular contact with her. Do not instigate her in any way so that she does not harm anybody.

I cannot diagnose your friend. But from my own experience she is in serious trouble. There is a free online Ask the Doctor site. Make sure it is free. Give as much detail as possible. It may be more effective if you say you are the patient. You don't have to give your name. It takes a few days for an answer. If you are seriously scared take her to the emergency room. Go with her when she talks to the nurse/doctor and make sure they get all the facts. There are medication that will help her. Please let me know how things turn out. I can relate to her feelings. Remember to take care of yourself aswell. You are an amazing friend.
