I am

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,
Congratulations.  If you want that baby and if you are healthy go for it, don't listen to what other people think or say.....  Age doesn't mean much.....  a 43 years old woman can give more love + affection + care than a 22 young mother (well, it can be the other way round too).....  A 43 woman is settled down and has all the experience required to be a perfect mother.....
No offence please but at 43 the risks for the baby increase and you should be under close control (I mentioned it NOT to frighten you but for you and the baby you need to be on alet).   My intuition, that never dissapointed me, tells me the following:  You'll hesitate for a while but than you'll go for it, you'll give birth to healthy baby, it will be a boy, it won't be easy to raise him, but he will bring much happiness to your life.
Best regards,

Hey if I am not mistaken, Marcia Cross ( Desperate housewives ) had her 1st baby at the age of 45, that was last year I think. So 43 is still ok to have kids. Although you have to talk to your OB-Gyn, because there are risk involved, due of course to your age.

Check out http://www.realsavvymoms.com, they have an Ask Expert section, plus they have lots of cool video interviews with experts.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer. Well- I am a very settled down person.I love to stay at home, be with my daughter.I am a very good Mom now with my daughter, I know she adores me and tells me all of the time- she is also very sweet, and I love her with

everything I have. That was your Intuition telling you, about what

would happen??

I just freaked out when you said"it would be a boy", because a very long time ago, I went to an Astrologyst, who told me I would be having a "boy", when I was 42. At the time, I thought"wow- that sounds so old" but here I am, and I think he was just off a little by a year, because everything esle he had told me, came true. I did not go to him for that purpose, that day, either-I went to make up some business cards, and he just asked me DOB, and time- I asked why"""? And then he told me he was also an Astrologyst. I never knew or saw him again.Anyway- Thank you, I'll see what the Dr. says today!!

There's no straight up/down answer to this.  The statistics of having a child with problems goes up at your age - learn more from your GYN.  You do need to think about long-term planning.  Are you in good health? What would happen to your child if something happened to you?  Everyone needs to think of these before having childres, but the older you are the more urgently you need to consider them.

I have several friends who had children in their early 40s and one friend had a child at 48.  It's situation-dependent.

Being older makes it harder to get preg, some will have issues like fibriods, endometriosis, cysts, bad tubes, poor quality eggs, etc but many still can have kids. you may find yourself with not very much energy but if you have help then thats always a plus. Start now if you want them and see your dr for a check up, basic blood tests. best wishes
