Happy Valentine's. Play us a rose, you're organic, man.

Victims of circumstance owe it to fate. Victims of choice owe it to themselves.

You have had way too much practice.

And it just might be possible that you do not want to change.

Avoid the consequences, yes; but change, no.

I am not making light of your question and your pain. I am simply letting you know what I think the truth in this matter is.

maybe I am costitutionally incapable. I just finished doing 3 1/2 yrs. I had no desire to get out doing the same old **** but have found myself going out on 24hr binges which I know where that leads. It's like I get all wound up til I snap.

The reason addicts result back to the same behavior is because they have trained their Limbic System (or survival portion of the brain) to utilize what ever the drug is as survival, be it: sex, drugs, gambling, etc. Addicts have trained their brains that they need it for survival. The truth is we don't but addicts have trained their brain to think it is necessary to survive.

A person must learn the language of recovery and retrain their brain that it does not need the drug of choice (sex, drugs, etc..) for survival. Yes, it is easier said than done but it is possible. We have seen many lives change because of learning the language of recovery.

You can learn more about the two-part brain at http://innergold.com/pptVideo.cfm

Although this video focuses on sexual addiction, it is the same for all addiction.

Suit up and show up and you will realize we are not a glum lot.

Without you being specific, I can say continuing the same behavior inspite of the consequences is called insanity. Clearly, yhe consequences have notbeen severe enough for you to make behavioral chnges.

Relapse is common among newly sober addicts. It's important that you find sober monitoring services for the sake of your health.
