Is it okay to share a place with someone of the opposite sex.

Not necessarily. If neither of you is romantically interested in the other, there is no reason why you can't share a place. Make sure you take turns cleaning the place, and have some sort of an agreement regarding the common stuff, like milk for your coffee, or toothpaste - but that is true of any room mate.  Good luck

I can't say that I agree with Dawn who essentially says that if you are romantically involved, you shouldn't live together! That seems crazy to me!

But I do agree with her other comments. Most women are often obsessively compulsive about cleaning, whereas most guys are not. 

That doesn't mean that you necessarily have to get compulsive about cleaning too, but it does mean that you should have ground rules up front... almost like a contract.

If she's totally obsessed with cleaning, let her do all of it. She'll expect something in return, of course. Maybe you deal with the garbage, buy the groceries and other shared items, do incidental repairs, etc. 

You'll also want some rules about your respective behaviours, when you each have friends over... again with regard to common areas.

She may object to you eating your girl friend on the kitchen table, especially if she's eating her breakfast there at the same time! 

But, if you're just worried about your friends and relatives disapproving, I'd say "F**k them. It's none of their business!"

Well apparently U dont have a problem with it because U have it all lined up and your room mate dont have a problem with it either ..so whats the problem??!! If your fiends have a problem with it just tell them to deal with it or stay away...it's your life live it the way u want to!!U can't make everyone happy ...so make your self happy that U can do!  Peace out...
