My husband and I were asked to fix a 1996 Chevy truck that was not running. We were given a $50.00 deposit to work on the truck. The owner never came to pick up or even inquire about the truck ever again. We have no way to even find him since we really did not know him personally or where he lives, he brought us the truck to our house via trailer. We feel as if the owner abandoned his truck and is now/still taking up space in our yard. We have had the truck on our property for over a year now. The truck is registered to California, we live in Florida and is where the truck's owner brought us the truck to work on. DMV will not give us any info on the truck citing privacy laws. Can we/how do we register this truck? Can anyone help??? Thanks :)
