How long have you had your number?  I know when we moved here in the middle of Dec. we optained a "new" number that had been assigned to use at least a month prior.  However as soon as we got it turned on we started getting calles for the previous owner of the number and several of the colleciton people refused to beleive that that number was no longer beloged to the person they wanted and called daily only they had others in the place calling as if a different voice would get the person.  It has been almost 8 months and only in the past 2 have the calls started to subside.  Now to top it off when we moved we requested NO forwarding number be put on our old number but the phone company put one on anyway.
