Lido,  I don't feel like the economy is improving.  It seems to be getting worse.  Food is very expensive, even at the "cheap" stores.  If you are lucky enough to have a job, you may not get a raise for 3 years.  Unemployment in my state is still climbing.  The recession never ended.  It is getting worse, but hopefully it will get better soon.

In my area there seems to be some improvement in the economy . The real estate market is showing some improvements . Some existing homes are selling and there's some new construction underway , single and multi family dwellings . And horses are selling again .  Should we expect to see a recovery soon , I don't think so .  We as a country cannot continue to ship American jobs over seas and expect our economy to improve or grow .  In my opinion this is a key issue in deciding what the future holds for the United States Of America .

I think it's slowly improving. You must realize that the economy basically is doing the same thing it did in the great depression. The problems are the same. Franklin Roosevelt is the model on which Obama is trying to model himself. And he's receiving the exact same criticisms Roosevelt did then. But our modern society seems to expect instant fixes. It took years for the economy to screw up, and it'sw going to take years to fix. It took Roosevelt about 8 years to get things on the right track again, and that was with the economic boost the world war gave industry. That boost from war simply isn't available any longer. But I think Obama is moving in the right direction, if only he could get a little more cooperation instead of opposition based on political crap that has no basis in reality.
