Sounds like a good idea to have additional options for pre-paid service in Virginia. I'll probably give them a try soon. I have Sprint service and Ntelos for business because of their unlimited.

Talk about good idea...  A few weeks ago I had my Sprint cell phone repaired by a place called Cell Phone Technicians. They have a cell phone repair shop in Richmond. My phone was fixed in two hours and I paid $65. This is good for me because I break my cell phones all the time. They will see me again!

I found them here: www.cellulartechnicians.com

Frawg Ntelos Buyers Proceed with CAUTION- BUYER BEWARE -If you don't mind the backdoor fees then I guess its ok to use Frawg. I went to  a local Richmond, Virginia Ntelos Broad Street store who were Frawg Wireless Providers. 1. The sign says the rates are $30, $40 and $50 depending on the amount of service you prefer with no additional fees indicated by asterisks (like you usually see on almost any sale sign anywhere in a store). However, the prices are really $37, $48 and $59 per month after additional fees and taxes are added on.

That was just part of the problem. The big kicker for my wife and I are that they "ported" her phone from Sprint, and when we expect it to be $47 for the month the salesperson quotes $89.97. She says there is a $35 fee for using our own phone. We spoke to two salespersons at length about this Frawg purchase at Ntelos and no one ever mentioned any extra fees. By this time, the phone was switched to Frawg from Sprint, and they (Ntelos) said its was just too bad, its the way they do business. If they were up front about it, I could almost understand the fee. However, in all the fine print for Frawg there is no mention of a fee for using your own phone, nor do any of the salepersons mention this (and we spoke to two at length) prior to signing and changing our existing service. You might think that $35 is a small amount, but multiply it by thousands of new unknowing Frawg or Ntelos  customers and you have a windfall of dirty profit. The State Attorney General should be notified of this little scam. Our phone was switched to there carrier, then they sprung the $35 additional on us.

Ntelos Manager tried to just shrug it off and say thats just the way the operate. It was the salesperson that eventually offered to back out the fee and offered a credit for the next month of $35, or risk losing the entire sale. The manager was useless and offered no help whatsoever  when I challenged their business ethics she was not able to provide any assistance.

I have been an Ntelos customer for 6 years. Have recomended them numerous times to friends and family. Not sure what the future holds...T-Mobile  has some good deals it seems.
