What do I need to move out of state?

I want to move to Los Angeles, California from Chicago, and the job that I have right now is as a series 7, 66 licensed Registered Rep, like you might be. I have $1.2 million in stock and own my apartment outright, which is about $270K. Do you think I have enough money to move? What would you think are the references, referrals, contacts,etc., that I need to move with are?  My present job is full commission, but I would like to own a business or to work with a $100K guarantee.  Thank you.
