I need more info on my Prayer Box

I have a prayer box necklace passed on to me by a friend. In it I have placed a prayer for 3 things. I have been told not to tell what I have prayed for, but to be careful what I pray for. My box keeps popping open. I've been told this either means I've prayed for the wrong thing, or one of my prayers have been answered. Can someone tell me about this?

This is a bunch of nonsense.

GOD is willing to listen to us when we pray. He does not use things like prayer boxes to communicate with us.

Be Blessed.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

In a sense I would have to agree with JayR, I don't believe in prayer boxes. I do believe in going boldly before the throne of grace and asking for what I want in Jesus's name. However I do believe in faith. If you wrote your prayers down and placed them in a box and believing GOD through faith, I don't see a problem with that. GOD is all seeing and all knowing. He knows the desires of your heart. If you just have the faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say unto a mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall be moved;and nothing shall be impossible to you.

As far as the box poping open, you probably need a new lock.

Be Blessed.

If you didn't share in what I was talking about, or know about what I was asking, why did you answer. You obviously have no concept what the prayer box is for. It is very heavy, and reminds me several times a day to pray, and about what is going on and what/who I'm praying about. The "box" is extremely secondary...however...it has been said, if the box pops open, your prayer has been answered and you can move on to another....if you don't know the answer, don't share their view...move on to another question. Reliegion is a huge subject, with many points of view. No need to be nasty about it. At least I do pray. It's my choice how I choose to do so, or if I choose to wear this necklace. God Bless

My prayer, at this point, is monumentally important to me, as are all our prayers to each of us...no wonder there are so many "mythical" answers from my friends to my query. It seems nobody knows. As for the "I need a new lock" comment, you are missing my point. I can wear it empty, it doesn't pop open. Put a new prayer in it...doesn't pop open for days...then...open it comes. The lock is very good, and very tight. That is the issue.  As I explained to JayR, My religion...my prayers, are a personal thing. The necklace is very heavy...it is a very constant reminder to pray...and a good thing in that respect. However, as is always good with fellowship, I would like to thank you for your reminder, or should I say, for putting it the way that you did about the mustard seed, sometimes we forget somethings...I always verbalize it as..."God, if it be your will in my life..." Nothing happens in my life by mistake, to do so would mean God makes mistakes, and we know...that just doesn't happen, so I do have every faith, God already has this handled...it is just very difficult for me...I guess the waiting....and you are right...He does know my heart...He's heard my prayers on this subject for months...I"ve begged, pleaded with Him....now I just have to wait 6 more..5 more and counting down....Bless you as well....

Thank you, and the answer to your prayer is on the way. I will pray and agree with you that God answers your prayer very soon.

Keep the faith.

I have spent a long time thinking about this before responding. As to why I answered, because I could. Since when is being knowledgeable about a subject a prerequisite for answering. If you have trouble with this last statement, I would direct you to the political arena.

1Co 6:12  All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.

If you find the use of your prayer box an acceptable method for strengthening your relationship with GOD, then far be it from me to upbraid you about it. Please forgive me.

JayR
