With the computer turned off put the graphic adapter in the PCI-E 16 slot (the blue one) and have the drivers disc handy.

Turn on the computer and go to the BIOS. in the advaced properties put the PCI-E as default VGA adapter (after you connect the screen to the new graphic adapter it will the default anyway).

After the operating system is up and running install the drivers.
